Mission & Vision

The mission of Dacula United Methodist Church is to help people to experience the fullness of life that Christ offers. We believe this happens when we work together, across generations and other boundaries, to encourage each other and challenge each other to achieve new heights. It’s about more than just showing up or writing a check – we want each person to be engaged in the work of faith in ways that make a real difference, both personally and for the community. That all sounds pretty grand, but what does it look like practically? All of our ministries are geared toward four objectives: connecting with God and each other, growing in our faith, serving out of our love for God and others, and extending the invitation to our neighbors. Connect, grow, serve, invite. So where do you fit into that plan? First, we want you to worship with us. Through sacred worship, we encounter God on a regular basis and stay connected to Christ. Second, we want you to be a part of a small group, whether it’s a traditional Sunday school class, a bible study, or one of our Connection Groups. Through these groups, you’ll get the one-on-one support you need and, as a group, you’ll connect, grow, serve, and invite.

What We Believe

The United Methodist Church is a 12.3-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens minds and opens doors through active engagement with our world.

John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as “practical divinity” has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.

Our History

As early as 1832, Methodist settled in what would eventually become Dacula and started a brand new church known as Pleasant Hill Methodist Episcopal Church. For over 180 years, we have worshipped God, supported each other, served our community and the world, and sought after God’s vision for the future.
